Marriage / Cohabitation Agreements

Prior to deciding to move in with your new partner, it is prudent to consider whether a Cohabitation agreement or a Marriage agreement is necessary to protect the assets you contribute to the relationship and your financial circumstances. This does not mean all sharing is curtailed, but rather, working on a mixed approach of sharing and freezing assets to protect their value. On other occasions a strict division of assets as to ownership (what is yours is yours and what is mine is mine) can be the better approach. We will discuss at length the options with you so that you can select the avenue you prefer to follow.
